Introduction
International students wishing to study at IBTE Dubai must apply for a student visa to reside in the United Arab Emirates during their education. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for your visa application process.
Note: If you already reside in the United Arab Emirates, you do not need a temporary visa. Your student recruitment officer will process your education visa accordingly.
Upon arrival to the United Arab Emirates, or if you already reside there, provide the following documentation to our student recruitment office in person:
Within seven days of your arrival in the United Arab Emirates, you must undergo a medical examination at Tecom Medical Centre. Tests include HIV, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis, leprosy, and syphilis. A positive test result for anything other than syphilis will lead to deportation and automatic visa cancellation.
Note: Students under 18 do not need a medical test.
The student visa fee for applications made outside the United Arab Emirates is AED2,750. This fee includes your medical examination, Emirates ID application and visa processing fees, and entry and residence permits. The fee does not include medical insurance or change of status for applicants already residing in the United Arab Emirates. All service fees include compulsory value-added tax (VAT) at 5 per cent.
Our student recruitment officers and visa experts will help find the most cost-effective solution for you and provide personalised advice based on your current visa situation.
Emirates ID
All students on IBTE-sponsored visas must have a valid Emirates ID card. The UAE immigration rules state that you must present the Emirates ID renewal application form with your old ID card and valid passport for renewal. A temporary Emirates ID application form will be issued once the registration process is complete.
Health Insurance
As per the UAE Immigration visa laws, all students must have health insurance for the duration of their visa. Our team will guide you through the most comprehensive and competitively priced medical insurance plans. You can also choose your own suitable health insurance company.
Cancel or Renew Visa
If you wish to terminate your studies before the expiry of your visa, we will cancel your IBTE-sponsored visa immediately. You must make arrangements to leave the country or seek other forms of sponsorship.
For visa renewal or payment for a new visa, please use our IBTE online portal.

Introduction
To study in the United Kingdom, international students from outside the EU/EEA need to obtain a student visa. The primary visa for this purpose is the Tier 4 (General) student visa. This guide provides an overview of the process. However, visa rules can change, and the latest information should always be verified on the UK Government's official website.
Eligibility
To qualify for a Tier 4 (General) student visa, you must:
Step 1: Get Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
After you've been accepted by a UK university, they will send you a reference number called a CAS. You need this to apply for a visa.
Step 2: Prepare Documents
You'll need:
Step 3: Apply for the Visa
You must apply online for the Tier 4 (General) student visa. You'll need to have your fingerprints and photograph (known as 'biometric information') taken at a visa application center as part of your application.
You can apply up to 3 months before the start of your course.
Step 4: Pay the Healthcare Surcharge
As part of your application, you'll also need to pay the healthcare surcharge to ensure that you can use the UK's National Health Service (NHS). The exact amount will depend on the length of your stay.
After You Apply
Once you've submitted your application, you'll need to wait for the decision. The time it takes can vary depending on where you are. After your application has been reviewed, your passport will be returned to you by courier. If your application is successful, you'll receive a vignette (sticker) in your passport as your entry clearance.
Please note that you need to enter the UK within the validity of this vignette (usually 30 days). Once in the UK, you will need to pick up your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) within 10 days of arrival.
Conclusion
Studying in the UK can be an exciting and enriching experience. By following the steps outlined above, you'll be well on your way to ensuring that your visa application process is smooth and successful. Good luck with your studies!
